A .750 PERCUSSION SINGLE-SHOT MUSKET FOR THE EAST INDIA COMPANY, MODEL '1839 SERGEANT OF THE LINE STYLE', UNSIGNED, no visible serial number,
with round iron 33in. barrel, block fore-sight, applied rear-sight, London proofs, solid top-tang, plain semi bevel-edged lock of flint form marked with the East India Company rampant lion trademark, walnut three-quarter stock stamped '212' in the right side of butt and traces of unit markings on the left (possibly 'IM' over '54'), brass furniture including scrolled raised pistol-grip lower tang, stirrup swivels and iron button-head ramrod, 48 1/2in. overall, weight approximately 8lbs.
